I'm still around!

I miss posting to my blog and miss visiting all of my blog buddies. I am going to make it my goal to post at least once a week, as this is my documentation of my life and my family's life. Spring has sprung and I have been taking lots and lots of pics and have been having so much fun. Paige is gearing up for her recital and has been dancing six hours a week, so I have lots of free afternoons and evenings to get things done. She is really quite cute, as she is sooo excited that she is dancing to "Beat It", by Michael Jackson, "Double Dutch Bus", some little Jessica Simpson song for tap, and is playing a poppy in the ballet of the Wizard of Oz. This time of the year is filled with lots of hours of intense practice and it is fun to watch her get excited. In between dance and school, I have made a few minutes to snap some shots of my favorite little ten year old cutie :)

These two angels are my best friend's boys. Aren't they the sweetest? I love them so much. Their mom and I have been friends for 32 years...can you believe that? We grew up across the street from each other and our families were best friends. She is like a sister to me and I am thrilled that she and her husband were blessed with these two precious boys.

Did ya hear the one?

Spring "Break"

I have been on my spring break all week and it has really ended up being just great! I got to spend a lot of time with my family and friends and we have enjoyed the time so much.

A lot has been going on in my life, lots of exciting opportunities that I am going to take advantage of. In order for me to follow my dreams and go about this adventure, I'm going to have to put a halt on some of other activities that I love. Blogging and Facebook are going to have to go to the back burner for the time being. I will update my blog every now and again, once I get good and caught up. I will definitely be checking in on my friends in the bloggy world, just may not be posting and commenting as much. I find Facebook to be sooo user friendly and I really enjoy it, however it is SUCH a time drainer. I get on there with the mindset that I will be on for a few minutes and then it turns into an hour.

Once back, I am sure I will have lots of exciting things to share with my bloggy friends. I have some fun trips planned in the next couple of months and this summer.

I hope that with this new season, you find lots of time to get out in the sun and play with your loved ones. Enjoy the new life that spring brings! Talk to ya soon!

May I have this dance?
Look at Mitch looking at Paige... hee hee
Her face cracks me up!
Sooo funny!

Paige had her first dance with a .... boy!!! OH MY! Her school put on a St. Patrick's Day program and she and her friend Mitch tore it up : ) They danced a waltz and it was soooo cute. Most of the little boys wouldn't touch the little girls, but not Mitch, he was such a sweet young man. His mom and dad have raised him well. He's a cutie and Paige loves him to death, but she has a crush on Weston...(eyelashes batting, heart a fluttering, oh my) hee hee! Weston yelled out at dance practice, "Why did Mitch luck out?" Huh??? They need to think that each other are icky and yucky and gross! Time STOP! Anyway here are some pics from the program. Double click to enlarge them. I'm too sleepy to make them larger in flickr.

**Thanks to all of you for the warm messages and the kind comments re: my blues. I just love you all. I appreciate you for always lifting me up. I feel better today...amazing what a little sunshine can do for a person's spirit! Mwaah!

Winter blues

You know, I have never really been one to buy into the fact that emotions are affected by the weather. That all changed this winter. I have been in such a funk. This has been a HARD year. I lost my dad, ran over my dog, went through some pretty major changes at work, caught MONO, then the flu... ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

I am on spring break and was looking forward to an upbeat week and for the last several days it has been rainy, cold and yucky. I cried last night. Just sat down and had a big, ole' cry! I didn't have a particular reason for it, just did it.

I awoke this morning to fog and watched the Today Show and they were talking about the recession and money (lack thereof), job layoffs, marriages breaking up and once again, I thought, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

So now it's almost noon and the SUN is shining, temps are rising, I hear the songbirds singing and I promise you...I am starting to feel...GOOD!

I had a talk with God just before blogging and let him know how I was feeling. I anticipate all things looking up from here!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to my blogger buddies! I am going to snap out of my funk and get to snapping pics and posting away!!!

Have a green drink for me today, whether it be green tea or a green beer!!!
Cheers and let's make it a good one!

Go Away Sickies Bugs!

My baby is sick :( She has the flu and has been out of school since Monday. I am home with her today, because my mom needed a break and I am not feeling well. When Paige was little and didn't feel well, she would say, "Go away sickies bugs". I wish the sickies bugs would leave us alone !!!

Paige and Sambo

We have been SO busy lately. I took time out today to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and have a photoshoot with Paige. While I was clicking away, her kitty Sambo came up and decided to make his debut. Paige absolutely adores this cat. As a matter of fact, she loves all animals. She wants to be a vet when she grows up (as most children do), but I can truly see her becoming one.

I'll update the blog soon with what we've been up to. I am having a hard time keeping up with my cyber goings on. If you Facebook, you will find me there more often than here. I'll try to catch up on my blog during my spring break in a week! Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Happy Birthday, Greg!

I have the sweetest brother, ever! Growing up, he was like my little baby. He is six years younger than I am and once we got beyond sibling rivalry at the young years, we became great pals. He is such a thoughtful man. He has stepped up and is trying to be the man of the family since my dad passed away. He is precious to come home and check on "his girls" so often.

Greg- Paige, mom and I, love you SO much! We are so proud of you and the person you have grown up to be. I hope that your 30th birthday is a great one. Like my first graders say, "Your future is so bright, I need sunglasses just to look at you" : )

Love you baby brother!!!

I should have named Paige, Matilda Jane...

For those of you Matilda Jane lovers....you'll understand my excitement about the new spring line coming out today. I LOVE IT!!! It is my favorite to date. I placed my order first thing this morning and my trunk keeper emailed me and said that she and her hubby always laugh at me, as I am their first customer on the first day the new lines are launched ... LOL!

Paige informed me that this is the last year she will wear MJ and that in the fifth grade, she is
"declaring clothing freedom".... where does she get this bold personality from, really? : )

Check out the new line at: www.matildajaneclothing.com

Happy Shopping!
