Winter blues

You know, I have never really been one to buy into the fact that emotions are affected by the weather. That all changed this winter. I have been in such a funk. This has been a HARD year. I lost my dad, ran over my dog, went through some pretty major changes at work, caught MONO, then the flu... ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

I am on spring break and was looking forward to an upbeat week and for the last several days it has been rainy, cold and yucky. I cried last night. Just sat down and had a big, ole' cry! I didn't have a particular reason for it, just did it.

I awoke this morning to fog and watched the Today Show and they were talking about the recession and money (lack thereof), job layoffs, marriages breaking up and once again, I thought, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

So now it's almost noon and the SUN is shining, temps are rising, I hear the songbirds singing and I promise you...I am starting to feel...GOOD!

I had a talk with God just before blogging and let him know how I was feeling. I anticipate all things looking up from here!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to my blogger buddies! I am going to snap out of my funk and get to snapping pics and posting away!!!

Have a green drink for me today, whether it be green tea or a green beer!!!
Cheers and let's make it a good one!

Hugs Missy!
I know what you mean about the "funk", Spring is almost here and that means, sun, flowers and warmer happier temps.
Hang in there, it looks promising..

Missy, I can relate and understand it all completely. Hoping the weather stays beautiful now and things are on the upswing...
I think a little photography therapy(it always helps me to feel better) is definitely in order and can't wait to see the finished ones.

with hugs,
Gail

You are not alone with those winter blues- they hit us all from time to time, and sometimes crying to get it out and a good prayer to start anew are all you need! Looking forward to new, happy, spring pictures soon! :)

Big Hugs, friend. Yes- enough already! Only good things for you from now on.

I can totally relate. Feeling crummy and can't pick myself up. Birds singing and sunshine has got to help us.
Wish I could take you out for a green beer. Hugs!

If you talk to anyone from the Pacific Northwest, they will tell you that seasonal affect disorder is a REAL condition!

You've had such a tough year, Missy. You are right, enough is enough. I'm glad the sun came out today. Spring is almost here. I see lots of happiness headed your way. :)

I have been so sick of this winter weather. I can't wait to get outside in the Sun. It does make you feel better. Sometimes it feels so good to have a real good cry.

I was crying in the car last week after listening to that country song "Stealing Cinderella". I just started bawling on my way to work. Sometimes we need it.

Missy, here's my (((((hugs))))) for this post. I feel for you sweetie!

Anytime you're in a funk, just call me and I'll de-funk you! I've been known to do that quite often. However, you have been through quite a lot. Just take comfort knowing that now new stars are there for you to gaze upon and look after you!

Blessings!
