Back in the saddle again

After lots and lots of sleep....and sleep...and more sleep : ) I went back to the dr. yesterday. I am now allowed to go back to work for 1/2 days. Today went well, except for that by the end of the day, I felt like I needed to get a ride home, because I could barely keep my eyes open. I just called my mom and spoke with her on the phone to keep me awake and drove on home.

It's crazy, because once I have showered and crawled into bed, I feel fine to watch some TV or chat or play a game with Paige, but as soon as I stand up, my head starts swimming. I guess I am just regaining some strength.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments, emails and facebook messages. You guys are great. We are doing well. Paige returns to another doctor next week. Her spirits are good right now and we just keep praying and knowing that she is in good hands. Thanks again for the support!!!! Mmmmwwaaahhh!

Glad you're getting better, but don't over-do it! Good grief, I sound like my mother! Oh well, she's usually right, anyway. :)

Hugs girlie!!

Yes, don't over-do it. Doesn't it take anywhere from two weeks to six months to recover from mono? You keep sleeping when you can! (And no kissing boys!)

KEEP taking it easy, k? I had mono once where my spleen was enlarged. I know of what I speak. I know you won't overdo, but just be sure to nap every day after work so I don't worry.

Oh gosh- so happy that you are getting better- but sounds like you should still really take it easy. Hope those kids are going easy on you!
Hate for you to come back too soon.
But I would imagine you are getting a bit stir crazy. Hopefully you will be back to your bubbly happy self soon.

Missy - Take it slow, my friend. I had mono the first time when I was 14 and heading to NYC for the biggest dance competition I ever competed in. I assured everyone including the doctor that I was fiiiinne to dance. So, he begrudgingly allowed me to go ona bus for ONE day (the other girls got to stay a week:( And a couple of days before I was set to leave I tried to jump down the steps, passed out and had to go back on bedrest until the day of the competition. *sigh* always learning the hard way! SO happy you are feeling better and regaining your strength!

And Miss Paige, well, we are all just so committed to your special girl in our prayers and our thoughts. Mmmwwwahhh to you all please keep us in the know:)

Thanks for your incredibly kind email - it came at just the right moment - I really needed that...bad, bad week.

Love,
Heather

Glad to hear you are doing better. Just continue to take it easy, healing, as you know, is a slow process, even when we can't see the damage done by an illness ;) Hoping you are back to your bouncy self very soon and continued prayers for Miss Paige! Take care, you're on the right track now! ;)

I was just wondering today when you could go back to work. Mono is so hard to recover from but at least you have lots of prayer!

Missy - praying for a full recovery for you. Maybe you should reconsider staying home another week instead of working half days?
