I think I can, I think I can...

Whewwww, what a week!!! We started back to school on Monday and received students on Tuesday. I tell you what, coming back after Christmas break I always notice such a difference in my students. It's like they've grown physically and emotionally.

We have had a fantastic week thus far, but I am one tired sista! I spent so much time during the holidays "playing" and forgot how hard it was to do the day to day grind.

Lots of new things going on for me right now and I am hoping and praying that I can keep my head above water and not lose my connection with my family and friends...

-I am going back to graduate school!!! I am sooooo stinking excited, I can barely stand it. I'm in my 10th year of teaching and I DO love it, but I am wanting to go into another arena of education where I will be out of the classroom. I am so excited to begin this journey, but am asking for prayers that I can keep it all going. You see, when I am a student, I become so type A and get stressed to the max if I am not making all A's. Crazy silly, I know, but that's the type of person I am when it comes to education. I am also hoping that I can stay "present" in Paige's life and not have my nose stuck in books too much. My plan is to do as much school work as I can while P is at dance or gymnastics. My online time will definitely have to take a back burner, but I can live with that. Actually, I think it is healthy.

Another big thing I am adding to my plate is that I am house hunting! Well, actually condo hunting. I am so very thrilled about all of the listings that I have looked at lately. I found the cutest bungaloo style condo that is within five miles from where I live now. It is so quaint and just what I am looking for. I am hoping to have a few more places to look at so I can make a decision. Now is definitely the time to buy!

So that's it in a nutshell! Sorry I am such a slacker at visiting blogs. I do try to drop in on everyone on my sidebar when I see you update. If you don't hear from me, you might want to check either my local Starbucks or Barnes and Noble. I'll be the one with my eyes propped open with toothpicks reading a big textbook :)

Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness Missy, what an exciting time for you! Graduate school and a new condo, talk about some big changes in the new year. I completely understand being a type A personality as I am definitely one myself. It can be
exhausting! Sending you my prayers and hugs.

Missy, what will you be studying? What area of education to you hope to switch over to? Can't wait to hear about this new adventure.

I also think it's very exciting that you are looking for your own condo. Some of my fondest memories are as a single gal in a darling little house I used to rent. There is something extremely fulfilling about having a space that is ALL your own. :)

Missy, so excited to hear more about graduate school. I have been teaching for 11 years & I often think that I should get my masters in administration, counseling, etc. However, at this point, I just have no desire to go back to school. I know that's a lame excuse, but I just don't have the will power in me. So, I admire those who do. You go girl!

Keep us updated on the condo. Now is the time to buy. Hope you get a good deal & something that you just LOVE.

Give that sweet sister of yours a hug for Zoe & I. Love seeing her beautiful smile. She's such an inspiration to those she doesn't even know.
