Dads

I was so proud of this dad today! I am so hopeful that our country and the world will come together and unite in peaceful ways. I am so proud to be an American today. I love this picture of President Obama as he embraces his sweet daughter. This day was bittersweet for me, as my dad loved President Obama and really wanted him to win the election, but didn't think it would happen. As I watched the inauguration with my students today, I found myself longing for my daddy and wanted him to experience in this monumental occassion.

Tomorrow, my sweet dad would have been 62 years old. I miss him so much every single day. I hope and pray that he knows how proud he made me to have him as my dad. Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!!!

I truly believe he knows, Missy. I will be thinking about you on his birthday!

BTW, Paige looks so cute in her new glasses. You all made a great choice! Have you heard anything new, or are you in a wait and see mode? I am keeping her in my prayers.

I totally agree with you. I'm so happy today. I can also understand about your dad...mine passed away 7 years ago but it still feels like yesterday.

Thanks for leaving the sweet comment on my blog...Your little sister is such a doll-baby! Oh my word, she's gonna put a hurtin' on those boys pretty soon! SHE'S A DOLL! So sorry to read all about the eye probs....you said you were at Vandy's Eye Clinic....I live in Brentwood. Are yall around here? Anyway, I pray for her only the best with resolving this issue. God can heal anything! I'll be praying...

Also, I noticed her is her adorable Matilda Jane...I just ordered a couple of those very pieces, but they are too big, so I'm just going to have to wait about a year to see Macy Li in them....

Well, have a great day!

I LOVE this post...I too am so excited to see this particular Dad in the White House!!! And...I hope your Father's Birthday was a Day filled with beautiful memories...and him smiling that his family is so amazing. I still feel my Mom at gatherings and know the things she'd be laughing at (or frowning at :).

Hope all is well...been thinking about you all. Maddie keeps wanting to see "Paige the Mouse".

Take care!
