Resolutions

I usually don't make crazy resolutions that require a great deal of strain, because that generally leads to failure. This year my resolutions are simple, easy to achieve, yet totally priceless if I can stick to them.

  • Leave all things school at school (for you teachers out there, you understand what I mean).
  • Put my family first, no matter what.
  • Tell my mom and Paige that I love them every single day.
  • Read one book (of my enjoyment) a month.
  • Go to church at least two Sundays a month (I know that sounds awful, but I am NOT a morning person and I covet my weekend sleep). God comes first.
  • Spend less time behind the lens and more time in the moment.
  • Go to school every single day with a positive thought in my mind. Start my first graders day with a friendly greeting and a warm smile.
  • Take time to write more in my journal.
  • Send friends handwritten notes.
  • Videotape my family and friends more.
  • Visit my dad's grave once a month by myself and chat.
  • Love more and complain less.
  • Eat healthier.
  • Exercise more.
  • Stress less.

Ok, so those are my resolutions...what are yours?

I'm so bad with resolutions. I try to change my life a million times throughout the year though!

I wish you lived close to me too. We would have some good times!

Here's to a great 2009 Missy!! I am pretty sure we agree that 2008 can go down as one rotten year!

Love ya!

Those are all great! I don't really make resolutions, but I definitely would like to get back in shape and stay more organized.

Have a great weekend!

These are great Missy!!! I share so many of these with you!! I need to work harder on living in the moment and not always behind the camera. I also hope to get started on a regular exercise routine.
Wishing you all the very best for 2009!!!!

Those are some great resolutions! In fact, I'm going to copy some of them, if you don't mind!

Hope you have a great weekend before school starts up again!

Wonderful resolutions! I'm not making any concrete ones this year. (Eating healthier and more exercise have been goals since age 12, so...) However, I am tossing around the idea of taking a writing class and also working more seriously on adoption #2.

Yay Missy - great resolutions!! You can do everything on your list too - I know you can.

I have really enjoyed my two weeks off with the girlies and am resolving to have more fun with them whenever I can - and to stress less!!

I admire this list Missy. Do you maybe have a church nearby that has a Saturday evening service? That may help!

Also, I am not believing that you don't always show up to your class without a smile. You are such a happy young lady and are always giving me such positive comments. I love your happy heart! I am sure that you touch many lives in your first graders.

I share some of yours...I would only add that I want to get a better grip on my finances (like pretty much everyone else in this country!)
