That was the first thing Paige said when she came out of recovery the other day after her surgery. She had a lingual frenectomy, because she was severely tongue-tied. Her doctor is the most amazing ENT around. I couldn't be at the surgery, because I was out of sick days at school. I was a nervous wreck, because Paige had never been put under anesthesia before. When I checked my email, to my surprise, there was a pic and a sweet little message from her doctor stating that all went well and that she was a "cutie patootie" :)
Paige has really struggled with speech. She has difficulty articulating and producing the /r/. The night after her surgery, she had taken a bit of her pain meds and was sooo loopy and HILARIOUS. She was in bed, loudly repeating, "RRRRachel, RRRobot, RRRabbit...hahaha I can say my R's". My mom and I were cracking up!
Wish we wouldn't have waited so long, but am glad that she is so proud of herself!

Poor kiddo having to have surgery, but it's great that it will help with her speech. I hope she is feeling all better with no pain =)
(I'm sure the doctor did think Paige is a cutie patootie. Why wouldn't he? We all do!!!!)

Oh your sweet Paige, I can tell by the pic she wasn't quite 100%, but really happy all went very well. So funny about practicing her R's...hope her recovery continues to go great!
