Snow day with my girl!

The meteoroligists in our area usually get a "deserved" bad wrap. They go waaaayyyy overboard about our "huge winter weather" that is rolling in. Well, initially they said we would have from 3 to 6 inches. What ended up happening was a whopping .5 inch ... :) It was enough for my county and Paige's county to call off school for two days, so we made a day of it.

My friend Barb called and asked if we wanted to joing them and a few other families at the Family Fun Center. We were in! I knew a little girl that would LOVE to bowl and win tickets. I'll let the pics speak for themselves...

Waiting for the final scores. They have that blank stare on their faces...lol!

Paige playing some spin the wheel for tickets game...she won 400 tickets and became the kids new idol :) I told her I was taking her to Vegas with me!!! :)

So Paige was a willing model today and let me take some portrait style pics of her. I just love it when she allows me to photograph her. I don't give her a lot of direction, as I love to capture her true personality. THIS is HER face...she makes this expression all.the.time.

She is my sweet girl.

I LOVE this pic and her little overbite. She won't have it for long...braces are in her future this month. Glad to have a pic of her cute smile "pre" braces.

Paigeee poo! :)

As an aside...after everyone left the bowling alley today, Paige and I had such a fun snowball fight. When we were finished, she voluntarily hugged me (which she never does anymore) and told me that today was the best day ever! I agree, P, I agree!!!

Oh, that is so sweet!! Nothing is better than unsolicited hugs.

Beautiful pics of Paige. I am sure she will look great in braces. I remember the day when we used to put foil on our teeth to fake braces. And then **ouch!!!** if you had a filling. lol

She is fast growing up! And two days for a half-inch!?!?!!?! If our neck of the woods followed that rule, we'd have been off school for 48 days this winter already. Heh.

What fun times you and Paige have! We finally had enough snow to cancel school, yah!
I'm at Leslie's, she says hi.

Snow days rock! It sounds like you both had a lot of fun =)

I almost did a double-take when I read that you got 2 days for 1/2 inch of snow. Here in MN, even 3-6 inches wouldn't give us a 2 hour late start. I suppose it's all relative to the state and in any case, it's awesome that you were able to spend a fun day together =)

What fun! Looks like a Dave & Buster's type place we have here. My girls love that too!

Tell Paige I said thank you for allowing you to take some portrait like pictures of her, they are gorgy and I wouldn't have wanted to miss them.

Did I read that correctly; you got out of TWO days of school over a half an inch of snow? Too funny! Where I grew up, three feet of snow could fall overnight and my school district never canceled. It was hugely disappointing.

Beautiful pictures of the lovely Paige.

Wonderful pictures as usual! And to have a snow day (or two) for such little snow has to be a treat!
